The Big Game: Go local for global impact

This session tackles the heart of our mission – reaching ALL people in ALL nations! Here's how we'll equip you to be a game-changer.

1. Go- Look and listen

The Bible is clear: "Go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19). This isn't just a suggestion; it's a call to action! Traditionally, churches focused inward, but this mission demands we look outward. It starts with the people in our own communities – individuals, families, and diverse groups. This journey may lead us across town, across the country, or even across the globe!

2. Reaching All Nations, One Community at a Time

The mission feels massive – every country, every community! It's easy to feel overwhelmed. So, how do we start? The answer lies in being relevant to our local community. We share the Gospel through our words and actions, in ways that resonate with the people around us. This is where sports and play come in! Sports are a universal language, opening doors to connect and share faith.

3. Making Disciples Who Make Disciples

Disciple-making is key to fulfilling our mission. While reaching many is important, our ultimate goal is to create disciple-makers! We identify those open to the Kingdom message, invest in their spiritual growth, and equip them to reach others (John 4:1-29, 39). Imagine the ripple effect – each new disciple becomes a disciple-maker, multiplying the reach of the Gospel exponentially!

4. Your Next Steps: Start Local, Aim Global

Our journey to reach all nations begins with individuals, families, and groups in our own communities. Identify the diverse groups around you, understand their needs, and explore the best ways to connect. Remember, we're not alone! The task is big, but teamwork and partnership make the dream work (1 Corinthians 9:19-23). We need to serve and collaborate to achieve our mission.

5. Unleash Your Potential: Be a Game Changer!

The Sports Movement is more than just sports; it's about using your passion to share Jesus and create a global movement of disciple-makers. Are you ready to be a game changer?

Reaching all nations starts with the people around us: individuals, families, and various community groups. We need to identify these groups, understand their needs, and strategize the best way to reach them. The task is enormous, but we can't do it alone! We're called to serve and partner in teams, working together to make disciples.

Together, let's fulfill the Great Commission and use the power of sports to make disciples for Christ, one community at a time!

Live it out application

1.     Memorize Acts 17:26-27

From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.

2.     How can you grow in compassion for different groups of people in your community? Be prayerful.

3.     Go somewhere in your city or region you have never been before. Pray for the people there and look for a person of peace.

4.     In your team: Create a prayer strategy for the five groups listed above.
